Asia
The travel so far and plans for the future.
Since July 2010 I have been travelling through Asia. I have started out with a residency at Studio Kura, Japan in July / August, which resulted in a solo show. More information at the projects: Foldable People and Cultural Dependency.
Following, via Korea, I went to Beijing China where I have been staying for the past 4 months. In September I joined in a group show:

in Cao Changdi, where I once more presented
Cultural Dependency.
In an effort to escape the smog and to get to know more of the country, I went to Yunnan Province in the South of China. Under travels you can find some photo's of the trip.
Since December I have been working on a project with Chinese artist Liu Gang. The project [as yet untitled] has thus far brought me to Shanghai and will return me to Beijing March next year.
January 4th 2011 my three week residency will start in Hanoi, Vietnam at the Hanoi Doclab. I am really looking forward to this, returning once more to the city that has inspired the project Almost stillifes in 2008.
So far so good. Who knows what's in store for the future?
